Michelle & Shamik had the most beautiful fall elopement in Old Town, Alexandria. This lovely couple has a special connection to Old Town. Since high school (yes, they are high school sweethearts!), they have been coming here, and it is their favorite spot to be together. Therefore, it was a no-brainer that they chose to wed here.
The Carlyle House, An Alexandria Elopement Venue
The Carlyle House is a beautiful historical mansion in Alexandria, Virginia. This house is a fantastic Alexandria wedding venue, a gem for micro-weddings, and perfect for an intimate elopement like Michelle & Shamik. This location offers gardens for intimate outdoor ceremonies and forested brick pathways for beautiful modern wedding pictures.
A Fun Loving Stylish Couple
Michelle & Shamik's love story began in high school. You can tell the admiration and utter joy between these two on their fall wedding day. Michelle is the fashionista; her long sleeve short, boho white dress was EVERYTHING, and her boots?! Let's say PERFECTION. Shamik wore a chic navy suit; in every picture, you can see his admiration for her. It was truly amazing to capture.
The Elopement Details
Michelle and Shamik knew they wanted Old Town to elope, but they were missing the details to make their day extra special. They enlisted my help to develop ideas, which I enjoyed doing! Therefore, we got a small wedding bouquet. Michelle wanted simple and elegant, and this all-white flower bouquet delivered. I suggested to get a bottle of champagne and glasses to celebrate in style! They had so much fun with this. It was indeed about the little things!
Perfect Fall Elopement Day In Alexandria
This lovely couple couldn't have picked a better day in November wed in Old Town, Alexandria. We started at The Historic Carlyle House and then went to the Captains Row Old Town Alexandria, a cobblestone road built in the 1700s (how neat!) During this time, Old Town Alexandria is decorated with everything fall! It was perfect for fall-inspired elopement photos with autumn colors, pumpkins, and falling leaves. Shooting this special day for Michelle & Shamik was an honor!
