The Kennedy Center is such an amazing proposal location in Washington DC. Therefore, Michael made a no-brainer decision and contacted me to do a surprise proposal to the love of his life, Allie. Let's reminisce on this perfect summer proposal!
The Surprise Proposal
Michael chose the Kennedy Center for two reasons -- the spectacular 360 views of the city and it's a great location to have Allie dress up and not suspect anything, and it worked! Michael donned a classic white button up shirt with short khakis, and Allie wore a beautiful orange and peach maxi dress. Their outfits were perfect for this June summer day in the nation's capitol.
The proposal was set up on the rooftop of the Kennedy center. Michael got a "Marry Me" sign to go along the hedge right above the water. It was so simple yet beautiful surprise proposal set up. As the couple got closer to the sign you can see the utter surprise on Allie's face, it was priceless. Scroll through the photos to see Allie's reactions and the romantic proposal!
Michael declared his love and popped the question. After Allie said, "YES!", we had to celebrate with champagne! Check out their celebratory photos!
One of my favorite things about proposals, is that right after, we can take the first engagement photos. We decided to take photos around the grounds of the Kennedy Center. We were able to capture some great dc engagement photos and authentic engagement moments.
It was such a joy capturing this new chapter for Micheal and Allie. Moments like these bring me such utter joy! I wish you two the best in your joyous and bright future!
