Wedding Anniversary Shoot At The Washington National Cathedral

Talar and Juan married on July 22, 2022, in a small church, St Mary Armenian Apostolic Church in D.C., surrounded by their closest family members. Talar wanted a luxurious and romantic shoot to celebrate their first wedding anniversary. Although we didn't shoot at our original location, we found another hidden gem in the nation's capital -- The Washington National Cathedral.

Talar and I reconnected because she loved how I captured their ceremony pictures for their elopement wedding a year ago. Initially, we planned for a location in Baltimore because Talar fell in love with rustic and industrial designs throughout the city. Unfortunately, the forecast called for rain on our scheduled day for the shoot, and we were forced to rethink our location.

After some research, I fell upon The Washington National Cathedral. This hidden gem in Washington, D.C., is an architectural masterpiece that offers a luxury and romantic experience. This vibe is precisely what Talar was looking for for her wedding anniversary photoshoot. We captured stunning wedding portraits throughout the grounds, giving major editorial vibes.

Talar wore a beautiful light blue maxi dress and beige heels. Juan donned a light tan suit with brown boat shoes. Their choice of colors was a match made in neutral-toned heaven. Talar paired her dress with a beautiful white, orange, pink, and blush roses bouquet. These little elements made their anniversary shoot romantic and unique to their personalities.

A year later, these two still have that newlywed glow. Their love is distanced; Juan currently lives in Miami for work, and Talar lives and works in Maryland. However, it was apparent that distance only makes their love grow stronger. These two have a unique connection that withstands time. It was indeed an honor that Talar and Juan chose me again to capture another milestone in their lives together; anniversary shoots are so special and I love doing these shoots that continue to celebrate your love for one another.
